ARTICLE POSTED TUE, 13 OCT 2026

On October 18, 2026, the EastWest Dream Run 2026 wraps up its four-city series in Cagayan de Oro, following the Manila, Clark, and Iloilo legs. Organized by RUNRIO in partnership with EastWest, the series offers race categories from a 1K Dog Run to 3K, 5K, 10K, and 21K, so it welcomes first-timers, seasoned runners, and even fur-parents. Whether you're flying in from out of town or driving over from nearby, a comfortable, convenient place to stay can make race weekend a lot smoother. Red Planet Cagayan de Oro, just minutes from SM CDO Downtown Premier, Centrio Mall, and Limketkai Center, is a practical, budget-friendly home base for the weekend.

Nothing Beats a Good Proximity to the Venue

Good race weekends are built on proper rest, easy access, and a stress-free setup. Staying near the city's malls, restaurants, and transport options saves you the commute, so you can spend that time eating well, loosening up, and getting a full night's sleep. Red Planet Cagayan de Oro offers exactly that: an affordable, no-fuss stay right in the heart of the city.

Centrio Mall is about 6 minutes on foot, or roughly 4 minutes by car.
Limketkai Center is an 8-minute walk, with plenty of restaurants for your pre-race dinner.

Ready to Fly In? Laguindingan Airport Is Less Than an Hour Away

Many out-of-town runners will land at Laguindingan Airport. The hotel is about a 50-minute drive from the airport, so you can check in, settle down, and still have time to pick up your race kit and rest before race day.
