Step out of the front door at Red Planet Solo and encounter a destination resplendent in traditional Javanese charm and awash with cultural heritage. Step back inside the hotel and guests are provided with everything they need: comfort, adaptability, practicality, and helpfulness. The 153-room Red Planet Solo is in the heart of the destination nearby a host of attractions such as the Danar Hadi Batik Museum, Klewer Market–the city’s largest textile market, and Kasunanan Palace and Ndalem Wuryaningratan, built in the 18th and 19th centuries respectively. The hotel facilities include a meeting room, disabled facilities, a wheelchair accessible room, and a car park.

Red Planet Solo has redefined the value-hotel sector by offering an all-inclusive rate for every room, every night. All rooms have free high-speed Wi-Fi, a soothing power shower, quality custom-made beds with upscale linen, and many other features including air conditioning, a workstation, an in-room safe, a hair dryer, a ceiling fan, and a 32-inch flat screen TV. There are no hidden costs in the room rates or the amenities we provide.

Good location

"Stayed for 3 nights in May 2017. Great location, very close to Senjo Temple and Nakamise-dōri shopping street; also near to the subway and Sumida River Boat Terminal if you want to get the water bus to Obaida Island or go on a river cruise. Sumida Park on the banks of the river has great views across to the Skytree. We didn’t go to the Skytree as we heard that the queues were long and it was expensive, we went to the Bunkyo Center instead which was free and the views were good. I would also recommend Asakusa Culture Tourist Information for views as it is close to the hotel and although only about five floors high it is free and a really nice building. Good restaurants in the area and it is quiet and seems safe – we’re not ones for nightlife so I can’t comment on that.
The hotel was clean, quiet and although the rooms were not massive I had expected them to be much smaller having read that lots of places didn’t have room for your suitcases. I would definitely stay again if we ever return to Tokyo."
